II Corinthians 5:18 NKJV “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.”
The Scriptures following go on to talk about us as ambassadors for Christ to implore others to be reconciled to God, first in the salvation experience and then in His standards and His model of behavior in human relationships.
There are many times when we can add fuel to a raging fire of offense wanting to take over in another believer due to an injustice they have suffered at the hands of someone. As they emote over an injustice we can listen and then gently help them take the way of our master who certainly had reason in the natural to be offended, but He did not give offense a place in His life nor should we as His followers.
Yes, we are ministers of reconciliation pointing unbelievers to God but also helping our fellow believers to be reconciled to each other and let “nothing offend them or make them stumble.” Psalms 119:165 AMPLIFIED
