In my last reflection, I spoke of the difficulty in influencing our adult children. The greatest way we can influence them is through praying for them. We have to make sure we are not self serving in our prayers, but really seeking what is best for them. Finding scripture to pray over them is a great answer and will keep us from letting our own ideas get mingled in the prayers. I personally am praying aloud the Psalm 91 over each of my children and grandchildren daily as I look at a family picture near my place of prayer. I name each one and then quote the Psalm aloud. It is a great promise of protection.
