At this season, we are focused on Jesus as a baby, but I read a prayer (not related to Christmas) in Pray The Word by Tiece L. King. I am asking that the Lord help me to leave the imprint of Jesus wherever I go, whatever I encounter, whoever I meet. I am referring to Jesus as the grown up Savior. It seems like the perfect way to celebrate His coming as a baby to find ways to point to the ultimate purpose of His life. Now, I am looking for ways to introduce Him in that role instead of the usual focus and conversation we may have on gifts and activities. I am not suggesting no gifts or activities. I am saying it is the perfect time to refer to the ultimate purpose of His birth without sounding too preachy. Think on this with me as we look for opportunities to make Him known in His grown up role as savior of the world.
