We have just celebrated Valentine’s Day in which we try hard to show our love to our dear ones. This is all well and good, but let us think for a moment of showing God’s love to the world around us. This may take many forms from offering to help struggling handicapped people wherever you may find them, holding doors for others, noting and approaching lonely people sitting on a public bench or any number of ways we can reach out to those around us. Sometimes, all it takes is a kind word or deed to bless others. This may provide an opportunity to speak of God’s love or even offer to pray for the person. We should be showing God’s love as we journey through our days. There is a hurting dying world around us who need to experience that love.
